Hodges - Prahran/South Yarra

Absolutely unprofessional managing agents. Farah contacted myself due to an apartment she was managing had a leak, we have the adjacent apartment. She misinformed myself that I was responsible to pay for the leak to be investigated. Upon speaking to the Body Corporate manager, the apartment who has the leak is responsible to investigate, rather than speculate, then whomever is responsible pays for rectification. The Body Corporate manager informed me that to do a professional leak test, there is to be holes cut in the ceiling and a saturation test from the suspected area. The company Venture Plumbing that Farah organised to inspect both apartments did neither and did not have the knowhow to find where in our apartment was near to the leak. Then sat on our couch and refused to leave until they were paid, while also stating they do not take card and refused to (and still refusing to) provide an invoice (which is iilegal) or report. The company that Hodges Prahran organised is inept, dishonest and used intimidation tactics to be paid before services were rendered, all while our infant was sleeping in the next room. Unfortunately for Hodges client, they will have to pay for this scam run by the plumber Hodges continue to stand by. When I google Venture plumbing it starts to make more sense as they do not have an address, refused to answer our calls and you cannot review them. As previously stated, if Hodges has this company attend our building again, the police will be called. Hodges Prahran is responsible for this incident due the legal misinformation provided by their employee and for recommending the crook that attended.

I contacted the Principal Stephen to inform him that we had a bad experience with Venture Plumbing, the company they sent for maintenance. I informed Hodges that if this person attended our block again, the police would be called. I was asked to put my concerns in writing, but then was pretty much told by the Principal that this company would continue to attend our block in the future as Hodges managed several properties in our building and Hodges had been using this company for years. It seems Hodges Prahran has no concerns for tenant or other residences safety in the properties they manage and are more concerned with kickbacks from sleezy tradespeople.
