My experience with Reconstruct Real Estate was frustrating, disappointing, and unnecessarily stressful. I contacted James multiple times asking for a clear breakdown of what I owed when I broke my lease. They had attempted to charge me for pest control, which was not mentioned in my lease, and I wanted clarity before leaving. Despite my communication, I received no response. Given the silence, I rightfully submitted my bond refund request on the day I moved out. When James finally sent me the amount owed, which I paid immediately with receipts I sent to him. Despite that, the agency lodged a dispute with NCAT to block the release of my bond, without giving any reason or explanation. For 2 months, I continued reaching out through multiple calls, emails, and texts, but got no meaningful reply. I even reached out to RBO to remediate the situation by leaving voicemails to which neither Karen nor James resonded. Eventually, I finally managed to get Karen on the phone. She was aware of my personal situation which caused me to break the lease, that my mother was going through cancer treatment, but showed no empathy. Instead, she was dismissive and unprofessional and said, “You know this is your fault, you started this.” When I asked what she meant, she said it was because I had lodged a bond refund request before making my final payment, even though I paid the full amount the same day I was notified of how much I owed. All that was required from her was a simple email to resolve the issue. Instead, I was left chasing them for weeks with no clarity or support. They only released my bond after I threatened legal action through a lawyer. This entire process could have been resolved with basic communication, professionalism and human decency. I would not recommend this agency to anyone. In fact, this is my first 1 star review! There's a first time for everything.

We just bought an apartment through James and the Reconstruct team. James was very helpful throughout the whole process and provided a lot of assistance post the sale of the property. James and the team have great communication and go above and beyond.
