I have been unfortunate to be the tenant of this real estate company. At first, they seem to be very nice people. But as you go, they will show you the real torture. During routine inspection, they will ask you to move your furniture according to their view. If you had once parked your car in a neighbour's parking, they will send you a notice of breach of contract, which is quite stressful. Also, they have strategy to make you renew all of the property's minor tears and damages at tenant's cost. Don't even think about returning your bond back! They are all for money. I would never suggest this agency to everyone.

Port Realty manages several rental properties for us and we have found them to be a big step ahead of the competition. Organized, communicative, efficient and competitively priced. Glad we moved across to Suzie and the team as we feel like they are managing our properties like they would their own.

The review left by Celine Chance mirrors our experience almost exactly. However, we took steps to take Port Realty to the Magistrates Court where the Magistrate ruled in our favour. He also reviewed the words of Celine below, as well as the Statutory Declaration from the tenant prior to us. There will likely be a response from the realtor below - as their method is to try to discredit and gaslight tenants in order to make as much money for themselves as possible, even at the cost of the landlord. Yes, it has taken us more than a year to write this, as we refused to use any more of our energy towards what we found to be a business with a toxic culture. We found their approach to be aggressive and unprofessional, strategically pushing their own agenda whilst technically complying with the law. For what reason? It does not benefit landlords, only costs them money. Renters, from our experience - they only offer a periodic lease once the initial lease expires. As well as increase the rent. Celine Chance 1 review 3 years ago Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Value I have formed the personal opinion that Port Realty does not always prioritise the best interests of its tenants and is not an agent that I personally would want to rent a property through (either as a tenant or an owner). I have had negative experiences with them. I believe my negative complaints are indicative of a broader pattern of their behaviour towards tenants. They are not nervous about exploiting or mistreating tenants. They know a lot more about how to use the system to their advantage. They had intimidated me and abused their power while still technically complying with the law. They have demonstrated a consistent pattern of disrespect and exploitation towards me. I am sure there will be some tenants who have had positive experiences with this agency. However the general impression I have formed is that they feel that their responsibility is to prioritise the interests of landlords rather than the tenants. In the long-term though this approach is not necessarily good for landlords either because when tenants have hostile relationships with their real estate agent. I believe a better world is possible and that renters should not tolerate being treated as second-class citizens.
