Adoption and quality of your team
Great experience with the property management team especially Jenny and Keith, who have been looking after my property since settlement. Especially when dealing with difficult situations and unreasonable requests from tenants. The team has always been professional, responsive and helpful, and they have taken the stress out of managing these issues for me. Thank you for their ongoing support, patience and professionalism. They always keep me updated and work hard to find practical solutions whenever an issue comes up. I really appreciate having such a reliable team looking after my property. Highly recommended!
Linda Zhou at Megaward Proprty Group is professional, responsive, and easy to deal with. She communicates clearly, follows up promptly, and makes sure nothing is left hanging. I have found her helpful and reliable whenever I have needed support from the office. I would recommend Linda and would be happy to work with her again.
A month ago, we moved into an apartment managed by Megaward Property Group, with Jenny Chan as our property manager. Despite our efforts to be cooperative and make the process as smooth as possible, our experience has been very disappointing, largely due to Jenny's management. From the beginning of our tenancy, it has felt like every interaction with the agency uncovered another issue that had not been disclosed. Important information was not proactively or transparently communicated to us, such as the scaffolding works that prevent us from fully using the balcony, or the fact that the intercom was not working. While the agency may point out that they eventually offered us compensation for the ongoing works and arranged for the intercom to be repaired, the reality is that we had to push for fair terms and coordinate directly with the building manager ourselves after their emails to the property manager went unanswered for over a week. When we collected the keys and entered the apartment for the first time, it was not presented in a reasonably clean condition. We raised this with Jenny, but were told it had been professionally cleaned (while we provided many pictures where they could clearly see that was not the case). Their response was that we had inspected the property 11 days earlier and had not raised any concerns at that time, despite the fact that cleaning issues are typically identified and documented during the entry condition report once the tenancy begins. Again, they may say they sent cleaners back as a "gesture of goodwill" (after a long exchange of emails), but in reality they sent an individual rather than a professional cleaning company. The cleaner refused to clean the apartment properly and instead expected us to point out each area that needed attention. To make matters worse, he did not speak English, so we had to communicate through a translation app. After these initial issues, we wanted to move on, enjoy our new home, and establish a positive relationship with both Jenny and the agency. We reported several maintenance issues that we believed it would be helpful for the agency to know about. Clearly the previous tenants were not paying attention to the property at all. Whenever we need to discuss something with Jenny, we first try to call to provide some context before following up by email. However, she is rarely available by phone, and emails are often not answered for more than 72 hours. We understand that property managers are busy and may be responsible for many properties, but in our experience, responses only seem to come after we contact someone else in the office. Only then does Jenny step in. Overall, the experience has been extremely frustrating. We have always been responsible tenants who take care of the property as if it were our own, which is ultimately in the owner's best interest. Despite our efforts to be collaborative and reasonable, every interaction seems to require unnecessary persistence on our part. Most recently, we needed a replacement key. We understood the process, provided all the requested information immediately, and paid the required fee on the same day. Two weeks later, we still had no key. After repeated follow-ups, it appeared the payment had not even been processed until we chased the matter again. When we called simply to understand what had happened, we were told: "Next time, you'd better not lose the key." In summary, we understand that property management involves processes, multiple properties, and occasional issues. Our complaint is not about isolated mistakes, but about the ongoing lack of communication, transparency, professionalism, and genuine care. We don't know whether this reflects Megaward Property Group as a whole or is specific to our property manager, but we have consistently felt unheard and poorly treated throughout our tenancy so far.
