Unacceptable conduct from Matrix Global. They arranged costly works at my property without my approval and without providing any quote or cost estimate beforehand. This exposed me to significant unexpected expenses and led to an ongoing dispute over liability. Their agent also made commitments to tenants without first confirming whether those commitments could actually be fulfilled, creating further complications and putting the owner in a difficult position. What is most concerning is the inconsistency in their position — they acknowledge that owner approval is required, yet proceeded to act unilaterally well beyond any reasonable authority. Communication throughout was poor, particularly around costs and decision-making. This reflects a serious lack of process, accountability, and respect for the owner’s role in managing financial decisions. I would strongly caution anyone considering this agency to insist on strict written approvals and full cost transparency before any works are undertaken.
