This real estate agency caused me severe health issues by renting me a property with black mould. They dismissed all my complaints about it, which is concerning considering I have an autoimmune disorder. The mould significantly impacted my physical and mental health. All my furniture, clothes, bedding, and other belongings were ruined due to their negligence. They claimed there was no visible mould, but only conducted a free test that didn’t provide a definitive result. I then hired an independent mould specialist, who cost nearly $800 to complete a test showing up to four times the amount of mould spores that the average person can tolerate. This experience has negatively affected my life. My savings have been depleted because I’ve had to stay at Airbnbs, hotels, and pay for medical expenses. I’ve also experienced anaphylaxis up to three times a day. My allergy specialist confirmed that the living circumstances were the cause. Despite this, Ivy Real Estate refuses to take any responsibility and is now attempting to seize my entire bond. I strongly advise against renting through these “agents.” They are at best negligent and, at worst, potentially criminal.

Poor experience dealing with the property manager. She ignored some maintenance requests. When moving out, she unfairly tried to maximise the amount of money she could claim from the bond.
