Our experience with Ben as property manager has been deeply disappointing and, ultimately, unprofessional. From the outset, communication was unreliable, phone calls were seldom returned, and when responses came, they were often in the form of short text messages that didn’t address the questions we had asked. Instead of being supported and kept informed, we found ourselves constantly chasing information that should have been provided to us as a matter of course. The marketing of our property was equally concerning. The initial advertising did not reflect the value or potential of the land, so we created our own material and requested that it be used. When we first engaged Ben, he assured us the property could achieve a price well above our expectations. Yet within 24 hours of the listing going online, he contacted us suggesting we reduce the asking price by $150,000. That kind of drastic reversal immediately undermined confidence in the accuracy of the original valuation and left us questioning whether any homework had been done at all. Throughout the campaign, the same issues persisted. Offers were occasionally relayed to us, but always well below what we had clearly communicated as acceptable. Even when a genuine offer did come through, it was still too low for us to proceed, and as sellers, we had every right to make that decision. Instead of respecting our position, we then received a passive and dismissive email from Brodi suggesting we had “wasted the buyer’s time.” That is not how professional real estate should operate. Sellers are entitled to accept or decline offers without being made to feel pressured or at fault. Adding to our frustration, we were contacted directly by several prospective buyers who had seen the property through the independent advertisement we had placed on Marketplace. They told us they could not get through to Ben, or that when they did, he was unable to answer basic questions about the land. This not only damaged buyer confidence but likely cost us genuine opportunities. The reality is that we, as the owners, ended up doing much of the marketing and enquiry follow-up ourselves, yet if the property had sold, the agency would still have expected their full commission. That imbalance felt fundamentally unfair. Finally, when we requested a mutual termination agreement, the process was handled with little professionalism. Instead of being provided with a proper termination document, we were told that an email would “serve as evidence.” This kind of approach falls far below industry standards and erodes trust further. In summary, our experience with Ben was defined by inconsistent communication, shifting and unreliable advice, poor handling of buyer enquiries, and a lack of accountability. Real estate is about more than simply closing a deal quickly, it is about diligence, transparency, respect, and genuine client care. Toowoomba deserves real estate professionals who embody those qualities. For fellow landowners, our advice is simple: look elsewhere.
Currently renting a property with these guys and going through a break lease due to owner intention to sell, Due to being a single parent with one income and 4 kids I’ve decided to end my lease early as I’m worried in 2 months time I won’t have anywhere to go if an owner occupied buys and with the rental market being the way it is. I expressed this concern and stress to my property manager to only be met with attitude and not one bit of consideration. Not once have I dealt/ had any communication with her throughout my 10 months lease. The lack of communication and response to maintenance reports, general questions or even a call back is ridiculous. It took 3 emails from me, 2 from the receptionist and atleast 3 calls to even get my real estate agent to call me back in regards to my break lease email!!!! And I still haven’t gotten a response in regards to her sending my owner the form and asking what’s needed from me and it’s been 7 days!!!!! Don’t get me wrong Kylie and Paige have been AMAAAAAAZING! But Sandra is definitely rude, inconsiderate of her tenants and needs some training in how to communicate and treat tenants with a little compassion. Honestly can’t wait to say good bye to this realestate the last two weeks since I’ve mentioned I’m leaving have been torture.
From our first conversation with Jackson regarding our investment properties, we knew we would be in good hands. His exceptional communication, honesty and knowledge of the Ipswich area could not be faulted. Jacksons professionalism throughout our listing process, backed by his down to earth personality, allowed us a very smooth transition over to the iThink property management team. We are extremely grateful for how quickly both Jackson and the team at iThink worked to find desirable tenants for our property, removing any stress from the process. We highly recommend that you give him a call!!
