As a first home buyer, I placed enormous trust in my real estate agent to guide me through this process fairly and professionally. Unfortunately, my experience has been deeply disappointing and I feel I have been taken advantage of at every turn. First, during the pest and building inspection, the agent failed to ensure access to the garage. Without keys, the inspector could not examine the shared wall or slab. A critical part of the inspection I paid $650 for. My calls were not returned, and I was left with an incomplete report and no time to arrange a re-inspection within my contract window. When I finally did gain access, there were cracks on the garage floor. By that point, the contract had already become unconditional. Second, I had included a condition in my contract requiring heating, cooling, and appliances to be in working order , as expected for a new build. I later discovered the cooling condition had been removed without my knowledge. While I did not catch this during the review period, the process was extremely misleading, particularly as a first home buyer navigating this for the first time. When I raised this multiple times, my concerns were brushed off. The response I eventually received was dismissive .I was told they thought I was already well aware of this and that they didn't know where the confusion had come from. This was despite the fact that at no point had anyone ever told me there was no cooling included, and I had raised my concerns over the phone on multiple occasions. I am now facing a $15,000 cost to install cooling myself. Something I should never have had to do. I was never informed of this change. Third, numerous defects listed in the property have not been rectified, including a missing bedroom door. I was given no formal handover, and keys to the back door are still missing. Finally and most seriously I experienced two simultaneous gas leaks in a brand new, never-lived-in property: one in the roof and one from the stove. When I contacted the agency in distress, I was sent a link to a plumber. That is not support. That is negligence and not compliant. I would not recommend this agency to any buyer, and particularly not to a first home buyer navigating this process alone. I hope this review prompts genuine accountability. EDIT : Serious construction defects have been found in every single unit across this estate…..
