I was a tenant with this agency for over three years. For most of that time, when there was a dedicated rental manager in place, the experience was reasonable. That changed significantly in the final year, and what followed was one of the most frustrating experiences I've had as a renter. When the dedicated manager, Nicki, was no longer with the company, no adequate replacement was put in place. The staff who took over appeared genuinely unaware of their obligations as property managers, to the point where I had to attend the office in person and walk them through their responsibilities. An emergency maintenance request for a broken air conditioning system went unactioned for over three months, through a Gold Coast summer. Their explanation was that it was a busy period and they were "trying." When I organised a tradesperson myself, the issue was resolved within a week. Draw your own conclusions. We requested a rent reduction given the conditions. It was refused. When we raised concerns, the response was dismissive and, at times, outright rude, with blame deflected rather than accountability taken. When we vacated, the agency stopped responding to calls and emails entirely regarding our bond. We were ultimately forced to lodge a dispute with the RTA to have it processed. If you're considering renting through this agency, I'd strongly urge you to look elsewhere, regardless of how good the property looks. The experience, once that original manager left, was unacceptable.
