Renting through Vassa has been awful. They rented us a 6 bedroom house. Turned out the granny flat was illegal and Tan emailed us with a deadline to convert the granny flat back to a garage. We had to remind him he rented it to us that way and that fixing this would be a landlords responsibility. The process was intense and stressful as our family no longer all fitted in the house and some had to move out. After a stressful NCAT procedure to get a fair rent reduction Tan pressured us to give our notice. He finally resorted to giving us notice instead. He needed 4 attempts at giving us notice as he failed to provide the correct documentation to do so.

We recently purchased a property with selling agent James Shen, and I'm pleased to say that we are quite satisfied with how he transacted the sale. Things we liked and appreciate: -James conducted himself professionally at all times -James was open, honest, and fair during the negotiation process and helped close the deal that led to the outcome that both parties agreed to -James went above and beyond to organise the preparation of the property for sale and made sure that the negotiated terms in the contract are enforced Things that can be improved -Communication. There were times when we felt that the conversations were rushed and had struggled to understand what the next steps were or what the plan is. However, we also felt that James was trying to put more effort in making sure that everyone was on the same page
