Had a very wonderful experience during the last stay in property managed by Dandan. Very knowledgeable, easy to deal with and always taking care of the tenants.

I have rented since 2008 and, unfortunately, Dandan has been the least professional property manager I have encountered. When we moved in, the property was poorly maintained, with belongings left in the yard, peeling carpets exposing nails, and significant dust and cobwebs. Despite air conditioning being included in our agreement, it was not installed until a week after we moved in. The exposed carpet nails remained unrepaired throughout our four-year tenancy. Later, we experienced serious maintenance issues, including a dangerous stovetop fault and an outdated electrical switchboard. As the agency had no available maintenance contact while Dandan was overseas, we had to arrange and pay for an electrician ourselves. The owner refused reimbursement, forcing us to pursue the matter through QCAT, where the decision was made in our favour. We were also incorrectly charged for water despite this not being included in our lease. Although the rent increased at each renewal, arranging repairs remained extremely difficult. Unqualified handymen were often used instead of appropriate tradespeople. Most concerningly, a leaking shower soaked the hallway carpet and took six weeks to repair, despite it being the property’s only shower. Vacating was equally frustrating. We were repeatedly asked to rectify issues despite the property’s poor condition at the beginning of the tenancy. The agency also attempted to make us responsible for trimming established trees, despite this not being the tenant’s responsibility under the RTA guidelines. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this property manager, agency or owner.
