Alan and Patricia…I bought a house & wanted to bring in my own building inspector. Patricia basically yelled at me “why would you do that when we already have a report that the owners have paid for?, why would you pay for another one?” (Acting like she was doing me a favour). Not allowing me to bring in my own inspector essentially. Being a first time home buyer I didn’t know that I should have gone against Patricia’s wishes & forced to have my own inspector come out & look. Now I know why she was so pushy for me not to. As it stands currently; I’ve put up over 50k in repairs that the report provided by the seller’s inspector didn’t mention. Plumbing issues Blocked downpipes (6 of them were TOTALLY blocked) !!! Roots from trees grown into all the storm water pipes TERMITES!!!! Water leaks & MOULD !!! NONE WERE MENTIONED IN THE REPORT!!! Shame on you. Playing with people’s lives. I’m not sure if this agency recommend building inspectors to the sellers but the one used in this case was Metric inspections, Hendricks his name was. BUYERS BEEARE!!!!! These people are not your friends. They’ll send you broke.
