I am on the body corporate committee at 17 Lower King St Caboolture. This morning there was an open house for a sale of 10/17 Lower King St. When potential buyers entered the complex and parked in front of garages and blocked tenants, I went out and asked the overseeing agent if he could please direct people to park at the back of the complex. He totally ignored my request and condescending told me to return to my unit. The arrogance of this man was astounding. He apparently believes that if he has a temporary interest in one tenth of the complex, it gives him the controlling power over everyone. When he refused to assist with this reasonable request, I stayed outside and informed potential buyers about factual issues that the should be aware of. This should be part of the government's push for total transparency. I advised people of drug users as residents and that we had to have a second back fence installed by public housing because our colorbond fence was frequently damaged by those at the back and our complex was being used as a shortcut. Also there were cars and motor bikes vandalised or broken into at the back. This is all factual I also advised them that the ongoing stress of having to deal with so many arrogant and ignorant (or legislation) estate agencies may force me to stop administering the complex for free and that levies would double at the very least. I also advised that the unit was flooded a while ago when the upstairs bath overflowed. Again a fact which I am sure the agent would not divulge. The agent threatened me with legal action and again told me to go inside or he would call the police. I advised him that I would welcome him doing this. I am sure everyone is aware of reasons why agents are down there with politicians and used car salesmen on the list of least trusted occupations. In eight years of administering this complex and saving at least $100,000 for owners, I have barely encountered a decent agent (two only that I can think of) and everyone of them was ignorant of government legislation, unless it was something they used against tenants. Almost all of them acted as though a tiny interest in the complex entitled them to total control over the body corporate committee. I worked for the ATO for 25 years dealing with complex legislation and am across body corporate legislation far more than any agent I have encountered. When I mentioned this to the agent , he disparaging dismissed this. His actions throughout were condescending before gravitating to total arrogance and a false believe that he could just order me around in a complex of which I am a resident. He told me a dozen times to go inside and threatened to call the police, minutes before he left. He recorded me talking to other people. This is illegal in Queenland unless you are one of the parties in the conversation, which he was not. The more than normal arrogance of this person apparently stems from him being the owner of the agency, something he made a big point of mentioning.

The only agent I would work with! . Mitchell is the BEST real estate agent. We just sold our second home through him, with him taking the lead and doing all the heavy lifting, while keeping us in the loop the whole way. He had the house sold for more than we hoped for, and settled by our deadline. He is very professional, and gave fair advice regarding open homes and contracts. He is always contactable and willing to answer any and all questions. Highly recommend.

Mitch is such a wealth of knowledge when it comes to selling your home. He was there to hold my hand through the emotional rollercoaster of selling my beautiful home. I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else. Mitch and his team are all amazing
