I recently had the ultimate displeasure of encountering the most glaringly unprofessional realtor, Marie Graziano, who acted as seller’s agent on a property I bought in May, 2026. I have bought and sold multiple properties in 3 different states, and it has always been a smooth transaction. In fact, I bought a house just 9 months ago approximately 4 miles from the one I purchased in May, and it went very smoothly. Both were all-cash offers. As is common with an all-cash purchase, the one I bought in August with my same buyer’s agent and a delightful seller’s agent, I got a very good deal, ($19,900 under list price) and it closed escrow seamlessly, with the sellers doing all repairs that were on the inspection report in a timely manner. Then came the house 9 months later that Marie Graziano was involved in, I made an all-cash offer for just $5,000 under list price. When the inspections were done, they did not come out good for the sellers. That’s when the ultimate lack of integrity, propriety and respectability reared its ugly head. After I spent $1700 in inspections, Marie Graziano and the sellers would not agree to pay to make the repairs. Marie Graziano then took the property off the market. It was off the market for around a month. When it went back on the market, I promptly put a full-price offer in ($5,000 more than the first offer), and indicated I would like to see the invoices for any repairs that had been done in that month the house was off the market. Marie Graziano would not provide any invoices nor discuss any repairs that had or had not been done. She further stated that she would allow No Due Diligence Period, not even a day, so if I wanted the property I was basically taking it as-is. I have never ever heard of that in the many real estate transactions I have been involved in. I currently own 8 houses in 3 states, so I do have a modicum of experience in this arena. I broke my own cardinal rule when Marie Graziano put me in a position of Take It or Leave It, that rule being not to become emotionally attached to a house before I own it, nor buy a house that isn’t a good deal. Of course everyone knows that cash deals are always preferable for a seller. After Marie Graziano already had caused me to lose Many thousands of dollars on the deal, starting with the first escrow on the property, on the very day we were scheduled to close escrow the second time around, and also the day I was scheduled for my walk-through, the sellers had had the utilities shut off, putting me in a position that I could not have a meaningful walk-through, because I could not test anything due to the electricity having been shut off. It was specifically stated in the contract that all utilities were to remain on until after close of escrow. It came to light during the closing session with the Attorney that Marie Graziano had advised the sellers to turn off the electricity, which put them in breach of contract. Marie Graziano also told both my buyer’s agent and my buyer’s agent’s managing broker that the sellers would leave all furniture and furnishings, everything that was in the house when I made both my offers, and that did not happen either. So with the sellers being in breach of contract, I could have walked, but I had truly fallen in love with this house. So I conceded, and we closed escrow that day. I will say that even though Marie Graziano’s outrageous behavior cost me many thousands of dollars, a lot of grief and wasted time, now that I own the property, albeit I likely overpaid substantially for it, I do really like the house and the neighborhood. But the appalling behavior of Marie Graziano had to be told.
Wow, out of all of the realtors that I have spoken with Marie has to be one of the most Unpleasantperson I’ve ever spoken with. I’m calling a different realtor for sure
We have not and will not be listing ever with Open House Realty. This review is about the professionalism and disrespect of one of the realtors. We have received numerous calls after taking our house off the market, and everyone but Marie has respected our wishes to not relist immediately. After being told two weeks ago that she needed to stop calling or we would not be listing with her ever, she called again today to brag about getting multiple offers on another property to see if we would change our minds, and we will not, we want, and need to take a break. She acts like she is being super respectful, and she is not. She would get off the phone with my husband who has said we are not interested, and then proceed to call me, even if he said my wife and I agree we are not interested. If we receive another call I will be making a call to the real estate commission, and the local police department for harassment, and I suggest anyone who gets these calls mandate that with her,
