Extremely Disappointing – Would Not Recommend After 20 years working in property management, I am appalled by how this agency has handled our tenancy and bond. We spent over $1,500 on professional cleaning and gardening at vacate, yet the agent still disputed our exit. Our bond was $3,360 and the agent has confirmed in writing that only $542 is disputed. We have agreed for the full $542 to remain with the RTA, yet the agent has refused our request to facilitate release of the undisputed balance. This comes after years of being cooperative tenants while maintenance requests were ignored or delayed, including mould concerns and an oven that was not properly repaired for approximately 2.5 years, while our rent continued to increase. The owner also refused pest control. Our tenancy ended due to DFV, requiring an urgent interstate relocation. The lack of professionalism, reasonableness and compassion shown during an already difficult situation has been disgraceful. After two decades in this industry, I know how tenants should be treated. I would never have handled a tenancy this way and as an previous owner i would never feel comfortable allowing a property manager to behave this way to my tenants Everything is documented and the matter is proceeding through the appropriate channels. I am not objecting to your right to dispute $542. I have repeatedly agreed for the entire $542 to remain with the RTA and be independently determined. Regarding the garden, I obtained evidence from two separate contractors stating that there was no pet damage and that no further garden works were required. Despite this evidence, you continued to pursue the garden/pet damage claim. I am more than happy for the RTA to consider the evidence from both sides and determine that dispute. My primary concern remains that, out of our $3,360 bond, you have confirmed in writing that only $542 is disputed, yet you have refused our request to facilitate release of the remaining undisputed balance. After 20 years working in property management, I understand how genuine bond disputes work. Please do not portray my complaint as being simply about having to pay for alleged pet damage. I dispute that damage and have contractor evidence supporting my position. Everything stated in my review is supported by documentation, photographs, invoices and written correspondence and will be provided through the appropriate process.
