I would not recommend NAI Harcourts Metro or agent Sheila Rejek based on my experience with the purchase of a small business. The process was extremely disappointing. The contract was poorly prepared and written in a way that favoured the seller rather than giving fair protection to the buyer. There were unclear and disputed items in the plant and equipment list. There were also serious issues with equipment and tools being removed before handover, despite my understanding of what was included in the business sale. In my opinion, the process lacked transparency, proper buyer care, and a proper pre-settlement/handover inspection. I was left feeling that my concerns were not properly protected or taken seriously. This experience caused me stress, financial loss, and a complete loss of trust in the process. I strongly suggest that anyone dealing with this agency obtains independent legal advice and checks every single item in writing before signing or settling. What makes it even worse is that Sheila, the agent, tried to cover up her mistake by offering me a voucher to replace one of the items that had been removed from the shop. Yet, even after settlement, she did not bother to honour her own promise.

A big thank you to Preet for successfully selling my car wash business. He guided me through every step of the process, from listing to closing. He handled all the buyers professionally, brought in multiple offers, and managed to sell my business within just a few weeks of going on the market.

If you are weighing up using NAI Harcourts, please........ LISTEN TO THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS!! I didnt when I was selling my business and it cost me 6 months of lost time and continuous empty promises. They started selling the potential buyer on a warehouse they had for sale WHILST SITTING IN MY OFFICE! (which I believe they ended up doing a deal on and tied up the buyers resources for the purchase of my business) EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL! They set unrealistic expectations for the buyer of our business, and to be honest, I started to wonder if they were working for me or the buyer. They forwarded commercial-in-confidence documents of asset values to the buyer, which he then used to negotiate for a lower price. To make matters even worse, at one stage they supposedly had THREE interested parties, and couldn't close one of them. Save yourself the money and heartache. GO ELSEWHERE!!
