Renting through “myrealta” was like volunteering to be ignored professionally. Communication? Non-existent. Follow-up? Only if you count me following up repeatedly. “We’ll get back to you” apparently means “eventually, maybe, if the stars align.” Basic rental processes turned into full-blown obstacle courses. Simple questions required three emails, two phone calls, and the patience of a saint. At one point I started questioning whether I was applying for a lease or auditioning for a reality TV show called *Survive the Property Manager*. Deadlines seemed flexible, accountability seemed optional, and professionalism felt like a distant rumour. If you enjoy chasing updates like it’s your second job, this is the agency for you. If you prefer clear communication, competence, and not feeling like an inconvenience for asking basic questions — And Kevin we all know it’s a toupee shave it off.
EDIT TO CONFIRM: These claims are absurd. We dont have 17 breach notices in relation to late rent. I also havent used a false name. I have used my maiden name. And how can you have used the full bond when we STILL LIVE AT THE ADDRESS. More lies. We owe the owners nothing and are over a month ahead in rent, all utilities paid and happily renting from our beautiful owners. If I could give 0 stars I would, be cautious of any 5 star reviews being manufacturedand inauthentic. Given our experience with them, I think you'd find that these are friends of the owners. We had the unfortunate experience of having Kevin and his team manage our property. Until MyRealta started managing our property, we had 10yrs of pristine rental history. This real estate bullies tenants, lies about legislation and issues unnecessary breach notices about cleaning items after every inspection. Nothing but headaches. We had a personal emergency occur which resulting in us being off work on extended sick leave, during this time we kept the owner in the loop about payments and advised MyRealta as well, they continued to harras a bully us despite the owner being most gracious. Of all the times in my life to have to deal with these horrible people, that was proba v ly the worst. Remember housing is a basic human right, abit of humanity and compassion will go along way.
We began renting a property under MyRealta nearly a year ago, and the team have always been a pleasure to deal with, always friendly & polite. Mary in particular has been extremely prompt at following up on any property maintenance requests I've sent through. This has been great compared to our previous RE (part of a supposed 5 star chain) in which maintenance emails went unresponded to for days/weeks, and always had to be chased up! Which was very frustrating on our end. We've been very happy renting through MyRealta instead, it's been a refreshing change to deal with property managers who actually care! Thanks guys for continuing to look after us :-)
