I have very bad experience with Jules from Edison Property. I moved out more than a month ago, yet my bond wasn’t released because she kept saying they were “waiting for the water bill.” After almost ten emails and only when I cc’d the higher manager, she finally released part of the bond — but she still kept some money for the water bill. I called Water Corporation myself, and they confirmed they can easily issue a prorated bill. So I really don’t understand why Jules or even Edison Property couldn’t do this earlier. On top of that, I never received any inspection report after Jules did the final inspection. When I used to deal with Tania, she always sent inspection reports promptly and explained everything clearly. Her professionalism was the reason I continued my lease after the first year. Unfortunately, my recent experience with Edison Property has been extremely disappointing. The company really needs to improve staff training and communication.
Tenant Experience with Edison Property My experience with Edison Property has been extremely disappointing, particularly under the management of Property Manager Eva Blaizot. Throughout my tenancy, I experienced repeated delays, inconsistent communication, and several incidents that raised concerns about professionalism and compliance with the Residential Tenancies Act (WA). Key issues included: • Major repair delays A simple security issue involving the front flyscreen door lock took more than three months to resolve and was only actioned after I referenced tenancy legislation. • Missed appointments without notice Eva failed to attend a scheduled inspection of insect screen door lock issue at the agreed time and did not notify me or offer to reschedule. • Improper or unsafe repair decisions A handyman forced a high bedroom window permanently shut instead of performing a proper repair, reducing ventilation and functionality. • Unnotified access to the property I returned home to find the backyard tap had been replaced without any notice, even though it was not an emergency repair. • Poor and unsafe key-handling practices After a lock replacement, the landlord left the working key under the floor mat without arranging a proper handover time. As both tenants named on the lease require full access to the property, it is standard practice for each tenant to have their own key. I made several requests for the second key. Instead of organising a proper handover, the landlord later attended without arranging a time and placed the second key in the meter box while we were not home. When I sought clarification, Eva misrepresented the situation and stated: “we are not obligated to provide two sets of keys. If you would like an additional key, you may have one cut at Bunnings for around $5.00.” This response ignored the fact that the lock had just been changed and that the issue arose due to improper handling of the keys, not because I was seeking an “extra” key. • Safety concerns dismissed An overgrown tree blocking the entrance and posing a face-level injury risk was labelled “not serious” by Eva, despite clearly being a hazard. We eventually had to fix it ourselves. • Service failures and wasted time A scheduled pest control visit did not occur, with no update or apology, despite us staying home within the advised time window. • Excessive and poorly timed access & vacate confusion Multiple home opens and inspections were scheduled close together, including shortly before the end of the tenancy, despite recent access already being provided. Even vacate arrangements and dates were handled inconsistently, creating avoidable stress and uncertainty. • Multiple requests for a new Property Manager were refused Despite detailed evidence of ongoing issues, my formal requests for a different Property Manager were repeatedly declined by senior management. I escalated these concerns to senior management, but the response from General Manager Louise Hemingway did not address the issues individually, did not acknowledge the seriousness of the incidents raised, and did not offer meaningful resolution. In some cases, progress only occurred after I quoted tenancy legislation or formally escalated the matter. The pattern of dismissing legitimate concerns left me with little confidence in Edison Property’s management standards. For transparency, I have lodged a formal complaint with Consumer Protection and provided full supporting evidence. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend that prospective tenants carefully reconsider before engaging with this agency and instead choose a more reputable, responsive, and professionally managed property management company.
Just want to say a big thankyou to Eva Who was my Property manager. She would have to be one of the best.prompt professional and friendly. I rented firstly with Paragon 11yrs ago. from the start from getting keys everyone from Paragon have been amazing. Then they merged with Edison Central who were great, kept me updated with them merging with ease Thankyou everyone. And to the owners of the rental the were just lovely people. Allison
