Dukes Estate Agents

We have been renting through Dukes for about a year and have had nothing but positive experiences. They are very responsive, quick to fix any issues, and really look after their properties. They are also extremely polite and non-invasive during inspections; and give plenty of notice for inspections or other changes. This is the first real estate I have rented through where I am not treated like a 2nd class citizen. We feel extremely looked after as people and feel very secure in our housing. This has made a significantly positive impact on our day-to-day lives. We plan to rent with Dukes for as long as we possibly can. Special mention to Tara and Charlotte who have always been wonderful to deal with. Thanks a lot team, keep up the fantastic work.

We rented through Dukes Estate Agents for 2.5 years and the team were fantastic throughout; responsive, professional, and easy to deal with. It's a shame the experience didn't end on the same note when vacating. Firstly, they never organised an inspection before we left, even though it was agreed on as we were going interstate after the keys were handed in. Then while on the road (in Victoria), they didn’t call, just emailed an issue with hedges. What? The issue was with the height of the hedge, when asked where that is written, where it specifically says we needed to keep the hedge at a specific height; they couldn’t provide anything, just the ingoing report photo. We owned up to aspects that we missed (which was ok) but they didn’t seem to like the natural growth of the hedge, even though we maintained it to the point it looked 10x healthier. But no, it didn’t matter, we had to foot the bill. This issue was on both the real estate and landlord. My advice, make sure you ask them if there is anything specific that needs to be maintained that’s not written in the lease (like keeping a hedge under 2m). Or that dukes specifies these details for future tenants, so no one is caught out. Otherwise they were good property managers.

Dukes Estate Agents promised to look after my property as if it were their own, but they’ve done the exact opposite. :( They consistently ignore landlord instructions and make decisions behind my back without consulting me. Communication is terrible, like they are highly unresponsive, and when they send routine inspection reports, they are wayyy beyond the reality of the asset. If you want a property manager who actually communicates, follows instructions, and protects your asset, do not use this agency. They simply DO NOT care.
