Excellent Service from Areal Hawthorn team I had a wonderful experience with Shing the leasing spwcialist and property manager Amanda. Shing was very patient and professional throughout the property inspection and took the time to show me around the house and answer all my questions. Amanda, the property manager, was incredibly easy to communicate with and always responded promptly. She made the entire application process smooth and straightforward, and everything was settled within just one day! I was really impressed by the team’s professionalism, responsiveness and amazing efficiency. Highly recommended!

As a tenant, Areal used to be good when we were managed by Rayna. It has rapidly gone downhill ever since our manager changed to Alex Kostoglou. We are currently moving out on the 2 July and have the property leased till the 18th of July, specifically to allow time for us to clean and allow for the agency to hold inspections. There was no obligation on us to do this. We could have asked to terminate on 2 July. We have instead been getting constant automated emails informing us of inspections before 2 July, when we have repeatedly informed them by email that we have 3 indoor cats and valuables and cannot accommodate the times of these inspections. It has been impossible to get a response from them as their office number leads to an ai chatbot or their reception front desk who is unable to be of assistance and appear to be trained to follow a script to deflect any responsibility based on their interpretation of the rental legislation. This ignores the overarching obligation on the agency to make reasonable efforts to agree with the renter on the time and period of the inspection. Sending automated emails and requiring us to jump through hoops to find an actual decisionmaker to talk to is not reasonable. I will happily discuss the finer points of law at VCAT. There is also the question of liability if things go missing or our pets escape due to your arrangements which have had no input from us. On multiple times, we have had to resort to calling the actual agent hosting the inspections to cancel because your office and property manager is unable to be reached. For the record I am also aware of Google's content policies and the statements contained within are not specifically targeted at an individual or disclose an individual's personal information. This is a review of an agency's an agent's services and not harassment. The information contained within this review is a true account of fact and not misleading or deceptive. There has not been any concerted attempt on my account to manipulate or abuse Google's rating system.
