Customer service is virtually nonexistent. Any issues raised are met with dismissive, defensive replies, and straightforward requests receive copied-and-pasted template responses.The property’s condition reflects the same lack of care. We encountered multiple problems during our stay, including poor cleanliness, webs with several caught insects, and broken furniture. If you’re considering booking an Airbnb managed by this host, think again. Their indifference and unhelpful service completely undermine the Airbnb experience.

We have dealt with Holidays Collection now for 5 years on four separate occasions. We always rent the same property so I guess we always know what we are in for. The property is always immaculate. If there are issues with technology etc Holiday Collections answer all calls promptly and resolve them If our preferred place is booked when I try to book they always try and assist with other options. Once I needed to cancel at short notice and Holiday Collections were brilliant. They bent over backwards to re-assign my slot to someone else and when successful they extended me a credit. We could not ask for more and I value their friendliness, professionalism and the consistency of their service.

I recently stayed at Aylmerton House in the Southern Highlands. Given that the property was built in the 1870's, one expects some "original" features. However, that is no excuse for downright shabby! The only rooms and/or gardens that bore any resemblance to the photos online on The Holiday Collection website were the bedrooms in the main house. Dirty kitchen rangehood, inadequate heating, bird droppings on outside chairs, unkempt gardens, exterior cottage bedroom door not lockable, bathroom and general cleaning sub-standard, shabby towels, holes in the dirty flyscreens. This property looks like someone has emptied the entire contents of a bric-a-brac shop over every useable surface. Hideous Christmas decorations (left over from Christmas in July or last Christmas) adorned the dining room. The main living room was far from comfortable as the firewood supplied was damp. It had been raining in the week previoulsly but a pre-booking inspection would have made it obvious that the wood had been left uncovered. If the Holiday Collection company did thorough inspections these issues would have been highlighted. In short - do not be fooled by the online photos - they were obviously taken when the property was in it's heyday, or possibly "styled" for a sale or photoshoot.
