Konnect Living

Konnect is a "proud family business" which means they will never be in the wrong, and will put themselves above landlords and renters alike in their drive to make as much money as they can. In the eight months we have had the displeasure of working with them, they have neglected maintenance of my home to the point it has been uninsurable for two and a half of the last eight months, neglecting fire alarms, water leaks, and broken entry doors. Our previous agency has always negotiated lease renewals four months ahead of time to ensure owners and tenants could make informed choices, konnect refuses to do so. Renters received a preliminary notice to vacate instead of the renewal offered, alienating them and ruining a working relationship that had been symbiotic for the previous three years, with a small addendum at the bottom sharing that this was their standard practice, the owners had not yet been consulted, and konnect could withdraw the notice at any time. This is a calculated move on their part, as the people hurt by the uncertainty are landlords and tenants; konnect charges a months rent as a re-letting fee $4,000 at our current rent, and they get paid their monthly management fees whether the house is vacant or not. The sheer lack of professionalism, zero accountability, and greed shown by this agency is neither new, or unexpected, but their determination to screw over both the owners, and tenants ensure they stand out as a poor choice all around.

My partner and I had a terrible time dealing with this company when we purchased our property. Terrible at communicating and we were treated like we were just a nuisance all the time. One example is expecting to us to pick up our own keys from the real estate, which is fine but they are only open from 9:30 till 3:00 weekdays for pick up. And we had to book. Meaning one of us had to leave work early. Had to hound them about this and receiving our bond back (we purchased the rental we were living in). Just our personal experience but we do not recommend them. At all.

Poor tenant experience with this company, caused me to leave my rental that I would have otherwise stayed at. Takes an extremely long time (3+ months) to do paperwork that should be completed within a week at most. Appears to be very poor communication between departments (or perhaps a lack of care for customers?). Certainly one of the worst rental companies I've had the experience of dealing with.
