I would not recommend leasing through Elevate Property Group based on my experience. During the initial inspection, Debbie told me that another prospective tenant, whom she described as a doctor working at Nepean Hospital, had offered $550 per week instead of the advertised $510, and then asked me with Daniel Bligh present, “What are you going to offer?” At the time, I was unaware that soliciting prospective tenants to offer above the advertised rental price can constitute unlawful rental bidding. Without knowing any better, I agreed to the increased rent and subsequently secured the property. After learning more about the rules surrounding rental bidding, I became increasingly cautious about how the tenancy was being managed which I let the real estate know. When I received the phone call advising me that I had been approved for the property, Debbie also said, “I hope you’re single because Daniel Bligh really wants you in this apartment. He earns good money and has a great job.” I found this comment inappropriate and unnecessary in the context of securing a rental property. Unfortunately, my experience did not improve after moving out. Following the end of my tenancy, the agency claimed my entire bond without first making an attempt to discuss or resolve the alleged issues with me. A significant portion of the items claimed were also pre-existing issues that were not caused by me. Another concern that has come to my attention is what appears to be a preference for younger tenants. During my tenancy, I was told that I was being given an opportunity because I was “young.” More recently, when discussing the new tenant moving into the property, Debbie again specifically mentioned to me that the incoming tenant was “young.” Taken together with my previous experience, this has left me questioning whether the agency deliberately targets younger tenants. My concern is that younger or less experienced renters may be more likely to be unfamiliar with their rights and obligations and therefore less likely to challenge practices they may not realise are inappropriate. I cannot speak to the agency’s intentions, but the pattern I have personally experienced has made me concerned that younger tenants may be viewed as easier to deal with or less likely to question decisions. For that reason, I would encourage younger renters in particular to educate themselves about their tenancy rights, carefully document everything, and seek independent advice before agreeing to anything they are unsure about. The property hadn’t been inspected during my 25 month tenancy. In the end, I was even left responsible for conducting an open home myself, effectively taking on responsibilities I would reasonably expect to be handled by the managing agent. Overall, my experience left me feeling that the agency’s conduct was unprofessional and that I was not treated fairly as a tenant. Initially, I was extremely happy with the real estate agency; however, my view changed significantly after I became more familiar with tenancy laws, obligations, and responsibilities. On more than one occasion, the toilet was left blocked for approximately two months. I would strongly recommend that prospective tenants carefully consider the experiences of current and former tenants before entering into a tenancy with this agency.

Elevate Property Group helped me with my new home in Sydney. As I came from overseas, the whole "finding a new home in Sydney" was new to me. The communication with Elevate Property group was always honest and very friendly. The overall process, from confirmation, getting the keys and going into the new home was easy and fast. Some things had to be fixed but were discussed straight from the start and everything was transparent. Happy to keep on working with them and always felt safe :)

I would like to sincerely thank Debbie Taskin and Daniel Bligh from Elevate Property Group for their professionalism, support and assistance throughout a particularly challenging situation following the end of my tenancy. While dealing with an unexpected issue involving damage caused by a third-party contractor, both Debbie and Daniel were consistently responsive, transparent and solution-focused. They took the time to listen, kept me informed throughout the process and worked collaboratively with all parties to help achieve a fair outcome. What stood out most was their professionalism and empathy. It would have been easy for the situation to become more complicated, however Debbie and Daniel approached every conversation with patience, understanding and a genuine willingness to help resolve the matter constructively. Both Debbie and Daniel demonstrated a high level of integrity and customer service throughout. I am extremely grateful for their efforts and would not hesitate to recommend Elevate Property Group to both landlords and tenants alike. Thank you again for all of your help.
